President’s Message- February 2014

Hello Members

I hope all is well with everyone. Welcome to February UGH! Well at least there is only 28 days in this month.  There isn’t much to do with your corvette at this time of the year except add some new mods while it’s in the garage. I keep reminding myself that spring is just around the corner.

Looking for something to do on a Sunday?…You could always take in a Breakfast Club hosted by the Picozzi’s once a month at different locations, check the newsletter for more details.

As you know, Activities are the heart and soul of this club. So that being said I decided to take Kay & Keith out of (activities) hibernation. They will be advising the new Activities Committee we’ve put together. This team will be working behind the scenes through the winter months putting together this year’s events. Roe & I started with this club on an Activities Committee; we feel this is best solution for this club going forward.

I would like to give Mike Heiner a big thank you for taking care of our website for the past four plus years. Our new website continues to be a huge undertaking but will be well worth it when complete. We are in the process of updating content, assigning jobs, and planning for our future needs.

A big thank you to all that came out to the Penguin Plunge this year, your support was really appreciated.

As you know dues are due for 2014, please send your payment to Dennis, our Membership Director.

If you’re getting the winter blues, remind yourself the first Show and Shine from our good friends at Gate City Corvette Club is ONLY four months away.

Don’t delay, if you’re still on the fence about the 2014 Caravan, rooms are going fast so please see Keith or Randy to reserve your spot.

Our 50yr. apparel, Sweat Shirts and Quarter Zip’s will soon be for sale, don’t miss out on them. Let’s show our colors and celebrate our anniversary by wearing the new design.

Well that’s all for now.
