Hello Members,
I hope everyone is doing well. February has been another extremely busy month, I know I said that last month, the first two months of the year are tough getting all of the committees up and running smoothly. We had the first meeting of the all New Activities Committee this month. What a very exciting and enthusiastic bunch. Our Editor has included a picture of the gang in this issue. After just a few minutes into this meeting I can already tell, it’s going to be another fun year for CCRI. Some of the ideas being tossed around; Drive and Dines, Poker Run, Sunday Cruises and I even heard the words “Last Hurrah” mentioned again. Some of you can remember back to Ogunquit & Booth Bay, Maine, Cape Cod, Mass. and North Conway, N.H., we had so much fun and laughter, look forward to doing it again.
The planning for CCRI’s 44th Show is underway. Stephen & Larry invited Keith and myself to sit-in on their first meeting. You are going to be blown away with the changes they are planning. All I can say right now, it’s going to be a Great Show.
Dennis tells me “As of February’s Business Meeting over half of the members have already paid their 2014 dues”. Am I excited? Yes I am. I can’t remember the last time that has happen.
I’m happy how the donation suggestions played out this year. It was hard to decline anyone’s suggestions since they all in one way or another helped families, children, homeless or wounded veterans. I’m happy to report that the membership made the right decision. That’s what I love about my position, keeping the members in charge of making the decisions, after all, it is your club.
Have you had a chance to check-out our new website? We’re very proud of it.
P.S. if you’re thinking of attending “ Back 2 The Beach” this year, please call Ralph ASAP, he may be able to find you a room. This might be the biggest turn-out for CCRI yet.
That’s all for now!
